Both of my daughters have to be careful in NYC since liberals are so ubiquitous and a majority of their friends are unrepentent liberals. My oldest has a weekend house in Sharon, CT, belongs to a country club and is surrounded by liberals up there. But those liberals are now pretty much openly hostile to Obama, a good sign.

I can only imagine the corruption and thuggery of Chicago having only directly experienced NYC for a dozen years or so. Our current administration is trying hard to bring Chicago methods to Washington.

All is well, Tiffany, actually far better than we have a right to expect.

I am devoting more time these days to preventing the heavy antics occurring in our nation's capital from adversely affecting my family, financially or any other way. 2009 was a very good year for us in stocks, but one of these days the music may stop. But then there are ways to take advantage of a deflationary depression or of an inflation/dollar devaluation.

You look to be in NYC, true? I have two daughters still living that very attractive target.

I really never came back to Gather - too busy with other things and now very busy with trying to financially protect my family against what is happening in Washington, those actions to damage what remains of our free market economy.

I just read "The Other Five Percent: A Letter to Marxists" which you posted and I missed. You get my vote!
It reminds me of the 60's when many union members loved to throw figurative darts at the "fat cats" who provided them with jobs while championing the union bosses who lived in luxury and robbed their pension plans and "war chests".
